Do u know if its possible to schedule an earlier fingerprinting date? can we just walk to a ASC with our appointment letter and get our fingerprinting done?
I filed for AOS at the beginning of May and had fingerprints done one month later. How quickly do you want them done?

Does anyone,please could help me with the following query?
If my I-140 is not approved yet, is Uscis touching my I-485 application....in other words is I-485 being processed (not approved, only processed)even if I-140 is not approved?( I applied concurrently in August 2007, and my priority date is current, Eb3 ROW).

Call me insanely confused idiot, but here is a thing:
I work for a major MNC (of course pays me 15% less than I should be making). My boss is also leaving the company. At the same time, I am getting an offer from another local (small) company, better position and pay. My GC is pending PD Jul-05/EB2 India from MNC. Should I leave at the 11th hour?
Just to clarify both are consulting companies.

No more interim EAD at Infopass since Sept 2006.
If it's an emergency like loss of job offer etc. you can take a cover letter with your receipt notice to Infopass and they can fax it to the Service Center for expedited service. Alternatively you can fax it yourself.
The decision whether to expedite your case rests with the Service Center.
Also I would say hang on for a few days if possible. I got my EAD approval e-mail after 101 days since RD from NSC.

I think there was a change in the rules for re-entry permits - you have to submit for biometrics before you leave the U.S. - so the auntie may not be able to apply for re-entry permit if she is outside the U.S.

Is it possible for a resident of Pune to apply for a tourist visa at the Hyderabad consulate? The Mumbai consulate doesn't seem to have any openings online, so not sure how to make an appt with the Mumbai consulate..

(1) I have applied for my OPT very recently with a start date of oct1, 2007 and its in the processing stage.
(2) I am planning to apply(say by August 1st, 2007) for 140/485 concurrently in EB2-NIW category, as the PDs have become current.
Will my OPT be rejected because of the pending 485? Is it possible to file 140/485 concurrent or should I wait till my OPT is approved (by that time the PDs will no longer be current...hmmm). Your valuable suggestions are needed. Pls help me....

Guys,
My company is forcing everyone to fill I9 form. I have EAD but maintaining H1 status and did not use EAD. I did some research on I9 and it is no where mentioned that only people with EAD has to fill this. I need Guru's opinion on this.
I just don't want to loose my H1 status in any case.

If your petition has been physically "Mailed" to the Atlanta Service center . Do they give you a tracking number . Can such cases be viewed online on the website http://www.plc.doleta.gov ? How much time does the Atlanta service center take to acknowledge the reciept of such application ?

What happends if we don't get our checks cashed and no receipt after aug 17th, but the documents get returned.

You are fine. You can continue to work in US on the approved I-797. In US visa is required only to enter into United States. Once you cross the customs and walk into US that VISA is nothing. There after everything is I-94. with I797 you got new I-94 and that reflects your status.
