In my signature... 13 yrs.; '97 as student, survived 2 recessions & a huge bloodsucker from '00 (who has since been sued & investigated & closed). Tried to leave, but H1 issues kept me. By Luck, hard work & planning managed to file 140/485 in '07 & by God's grace 140 approved 12/08, which enabled me to leave aforementioned bloodsucker. Working on EAD since 10/08.

dear members,
please post ideas on how we can all collectively address such issues. We have to spread awareness, get attention from law makers, remove the fear instilled into minds of people, guide people in the right direction.
Ideas and suggestions are welcome.
I would say we should start with local congressional office. Every case whether it is resolved or not should be taken to the attention of local congressional office.
If members volunteer to do this, we could distribute districts among ourselves and take care of each district's congressional office. In that way we could raise the awareness among the lawmakers. I do agree that not every office will be friendly to immigrants like my district's congressional office, but we have to try.

people who do not support pd porting must *morally* refuse any pay hikes they get along the course of the GC journey, decline promotions offered at their workplace and must vehemently refuse any self help initiatives by the employer.
If they actually do that, they are both justified in opposing PD porting and they kinda give away their I.Q in the process! lol
Not to mention, if anyone of the above happens, they need to re-start their GC process *to be fair*!

Reddog is an agent of someone paid to view IV site and create anti-IV posts. He may very well be an anti-immigrant who is now worried that he may not get access to secret info of our efforts.
If he cares for immigrants, why has he not even updated his profile with his application dates. I bet he will also be annonymous with fake contact info.

I am not sure if USCIS will move beyond April 2004 until Jan 2009 due to the holidays and election and as someone said they want to take it easy. Even if they move the dates it does'nt help unless they approve cases with certain process in place.

Where is my application for adjustment of status filed?
All employment based adjustment of status applications are filed at the Nebraska Service Center (NSC). The NSC will keep half of the cases it receives and send half to the Texas Service Center . There is no way of indicating which Service Center you want your case adjudicated at. Once the receipt notices are received you will know where your case is pending. All family based adjustment of status applications are filed at the National Benefits Center.

If you are stuck at Atlanta PERM backlog center , please email your case number and explain them that your application has been pending for a LONG time and request them to help us get out of this grave situation. Also, please post on this thread after you have sent an email so that others can be motivated to do the same. We need to send as many emails as possible to get any positive feedback. I know that DOL mentioned that they will start processing our applications soon, but we need to keep up the pressure from our end so that it has some positive effect.
I know most of the people on this forum are not in this situation ..... but let's see how many can come out of this selfishness and help others by emailing / phoning DOL Atlanta to help other brothers who want to file AOS just like them...... Do all agree that "bridge bill" is the only real helpful measure for us? Or you can show us some other ways?
I mean let's set at least one goal!
After that we can establish what we have, and how we can make it real.
Anyway, it might be quite difficult to organise such a work group, because the majourity of schedule A are outside the US, and on CP... But we all have our emploiers and attorneis who could help us to lobby our interests in the US.
What do you think about it?
