Hi,
My I-140 was approved in May and I am still waiting for I-485 approval. I filed in August 2007 concurrently and my Priority Date is June 2004.
I thought that concurrent filing will also mean concurrent approval, but may be this is not the case. Otherwise should I call NSC and ask them about it (whats the best way to call them ?)
Thanks

Hi
I have one question about the online AR-11 form.
In the online AR 11 form there is one field called Port of entry and there is drop down box which has many items to select the port of entry. This drop down box has two items related to my port of entry.
MA- BOSTON
MA- LOGAN Airport
Are these really two different airports?
I entered US in the Boston Logan Airport (international airport). Which entry I need to select?
MA-Boston
OR

No No No.
You are fine. You can continue to work in US on the approved I-797. In US visa is required only to enter into United States. Once you cross the customs and walk into US that VISA is nothing. There after everything is I-94. with I797 you got new I-94 and that reflects your status.

*Interviewer asking about Timezones and its effect on Google*
Why do it, given the downside?
Well, because we want the best talent all around the world. There's an enormous amount of programming talent in China, we want that talent to work at Google. And the fact is they want to work in China, they actually like China, it's their home, or the U.S. won't allow them in. So we have to adapt, just to be very clear here, we have to adapt the culture that I'm describing with this international development focus.

The Chief of Staff of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service’s (USCIS) Fraud Detection and National Security (FDNS) office explained three different types of site visits being conducted by USCIS.
Risk Assessment Program Fraud Study: program is part of a study to help design profiles of potential fraud. Family-based petitions or employment-based petitions once approved are randomly selected.
Targeted Site Visits: this visit is to ask questions when fraud is suspected. Advance notice of visit is given.
Administrative Site Visits: for religious worker and H-1B programs. Specific questions generally regarding the beneficiary’s job duties as stated in the petition and whether the beneficiary is receiving the wage as stated on the petition.
More information on the site visits is available at www.uscis.gov (http://www.uscis.gov).

In one of the threads Pappu suggested a very nice idea.
Everyone with difficult stories due to unfair immigration policies should make a youtube video and post a link here. Spoken stories will have much better effect.
Thank you. This is a good idea. Please lead this effort. You can detail this out, answer questions and help if someone wants to know how to make one.
Once we have lot of videos, they can be sent to media networks and reporters.

I filed my 485 on June 4th 2007 with NSC. It was transferred to TSC and received my Receipt notice. Now I am going to file my AP.
My question is where should I file my AP?. Do I need to file with NSC or TSC?.
Please someone respond.
Thanks in advance

Because you already filed I-485 before she turned 21, your daughter is protected by CSPA and she will get her GC as long as your case is approved even if she turned 30 before your AOS is approved (I sincerely hope you are approved before she turns 30 as she must remain unmarried until she gets GC).
By the way, my son is in the same boat as he turned 21 in 2008 too.

Arizona's reputation for right wing lunacy certainly will be enhanced by this effort. Or maybe there's some pretty rational thinking behind SB1070 and eliminating rights for American born citizens of Hispanic descent. 30% of Arizonans are Hispanic. 42% of all students from kindergarten through twelth grade are Hispanic and the percentage goes even higher for the younger grades. Even if the efforts don't stand up to constitutional muster, maybe the real goal is not to get rid of illegal present immigrants, but, rather, all Hispanics, whether they are legal immigrants, born in the US or illegally present. Hispanics vote overwhelmingly...

If her H-4 has not expired she can file now for a change of status from H-4 to H-1, as per the last action rule, her petition filed now will override the earlier request for H-4 extension. If she does not have an unexpired H-4 she can file for COS based on the pending H-4 extension request by including the receipt.

The Concord (NH) Monitor reports on a very anti-immigrant resolution being considered in the New Hampshire House of Representatives that was instead modified to be one that promoted solving immigration problems: The original resolution, sponsored by state Rep. Jordan Ulery, a Hudson Republican, stated: "Amnesty rewards illegal aliens for breaking our laws," and continued, "Amnesty would allow illegal-alien gang members, criminals, and terrorists to be eligible to become citizens of the United States." The new resolution notes, "it would be impractical, if not impossible to expel the estimated 12 million people who have entered this country illegally." It concludes with...
